I read Fledgling because I was on a vampire kick. How can more people I know not have heard of Octavia Butler?!? I am dumbfounded that it took me so long to find her. I have been an avid reader of sci fi and fantasy since my teens (now I'm in my 30's) and have been reading Butler for the past 3 months. She is an amazing writer. What will I do when I finish the books I have left? There is no one like her that I know of to read...
