Celebrating Octavia Butler in Brooklyn!

A wonderful event happens tomorrow.  The National Black Writers Conference Bi-Annual Symposium will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009, 11 AM - 5 PM at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn.  This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Life and Work of Octavia E. Butler".  I hope to see you there! For more information:

Hi! I didn't know Octavia Butler until now, and due to what i have read all along the site i will buy one of her books as soon as i could, so i could have then my own opinion. Thanks for sharing and writing, and for showing me something new!

I don't know much about Octavia Butler, maybe due to because I am not much into reading stuff but anyways, I've to research for her and about her contributions but as you people have opened up a site for her so I think she must have done something remarkable in her career.
