we waste so much, time, energy, people. Octavia E. Butler touched me. Her voice, tone, manner are always familar. I am more through her works and vision. "She touched she changed, me.' Peace Is Love

"The Book of Martha" & "Amnesty"

Here are two short stories published on scifi.com and in the second edition of Bloodchild, available at Seven Stories Press. I read this story and I grieved again over Ms. Butler’s untimely passing. The Book of Martha story is prophetic in its description of a writer who finds herself suddenly with God. To me, Amnesty centers around themes of sameness\difference and of colonization in a post-alien-colonization US.
